at the samsung ai center in warsaw and the university of warsaw they found her name on one thousand six hundred and fifty five records in a research archive, nine hundred and ninety one of them registered in march of this year alone, each with a real registration number and a server side timestamp proving it had been backdated.
the finding underneath is stranger than the count. each model family has its own default cast of invented names, and the names get suppressed at each release, so the documents they appear in can be dated to a specific model version. the web has become an accidental record of which machine wrote what.
the paper also documents a therapy clinic whose staff page lists therapists who do not exist, with headshots hotlinked from a stock photo site. a person could book a session with one of them.
the fake names are a fingerprint, not a nuisance.

the camera company told police the story was false
garrett langley is flock safety's chief executive. the company sells to the departments he was addressing.
in october of last year the electronic frontier foundation and 404 media established that a texas deputy had run a search across flock's national camera network to find a woman who had ended her own pregnancy. the search had been described to the public as a missing person case. that description did not survive the records.
on the twenty sixth of august 404 media reported that langley had told police departments its reporting on that case was false. the article is behind a paywall and his exact words are not public outside it, so what prints here is the reporting and its attribution, not a quotation.
the product is not the camera. it is the search.
a network assembled town by town, each contract small enough to pass a council without argument, is one query away from being a national one. correcting the press in front of your customers is a sales motion, not a correction.

gregory baker taught computing at macquarie university in sydney, semester after semester, on casual contracts.
he took his own employer to the fair work commission and did not hire a lawyer. macquarie sent a veteran employment barrister. baker represented himself with two chatbot subscriptions at about two hundred us dollars a month, and said so on the record.
the commission ruled for him. he is now an ongoing part time employee, and the decision is the first test of the employee choice pathway introduced in 2024, which makes the precedent larger than the man.

they trained it on six months of ordinary weather with almost no heavy rain in it, against twenty five years of hourly precipitation, and asked it for the event outside the record. the heaviest rain new york has ever recorded is two hundred millimetres. the drawn storm drops three hundred.
this was covered as a weather story. it is a balance sheet story. every risk model a city planner or an insurer uses has to be trained on the disaster it is being asked to imagine, which is impossible for exactly the disasters that matter. this removes that requirement.
sapsis says the reason plainly: global systems were optimised for efficiency and have no slack left, so one event moves through supply chains, energy markets and food systems in weeks.
